OUR COMPANY
We invent, design, and test technologies in partnership with market leaders in various channels to bring disruptive in-ear products to market.
Montreal-based EERS Global Technologies Inc. (EERS) specializes in in-ear R&D. We believe the ear is a perfect place to monitor and improve the human condition.
The company has a 15-year history of innovation in the industrial protection and communication markets. The flagship invention, SonX, promises to vastly improve the life of industrial workers by allowing them to communicate in extreme noise, improve their performance levels, monitor their biosignals and manage all the data in the cloud.

THE PROBLEM WE ARE SOLVING IS VERY REAL FOR PEOPLE IN INDUSTRY.
Noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) is the most common permanent and preventable occupational injury in the world*. Workers constantly tradeoff between wearing their ear protection or communicating with a co-worker.
ABOUT SONX

SonX will help end Noise Induced Hearing Loss in the workplace.
By picking up the voice from within the head, our SonX allows workers to wear their protection, and communicate with their colleagues: in the loudest of environments. Because all our devices are connected to the cloud, they improve in functionality through software updates and provide actionable data on worker hearing health. The creation SonX is the results of 15 years of investment and very deep market knowledge and a breakthrough for these workers: email was a key communication leap for office staff, this may be that important for industrial labor.
OUR RESEARCH
EERS & CRITIAS World Class Auditory Research Team University-backed by Leading Engineering School ÉTS
Our research is conducted within the structure of a Research Chair supported by the National Science & Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). We are affiliated with ÉTS University, Canada’s 2nd largest engineering school and housed in the INGO Innovation Center. EERS has built up a team of 25 Masters, Ph.D. and postdoctoral researchers lead by Prof. Jérémie Voix, P. Eng., Ph.D. The team has amassed over 100 publications and 50 patents, specializing in three key areas - hearing protection / communication, biosensing, and brain computer interface (BCI), with a variety of in-ear applications at high technical readiness levels.

AWARD
WINNING

Industry recognized laureates from OSHA & NIOSH
In October 2016, OSHA (USDOL) launched its first ever technology competition related to solving the issues surrounding noise induced hearing loss. 40 companies were selected - 10 were invited to DC to pitch their innovation. We won.
Recently founder, EERS CEO Nick Laperle, was asked to join NORA (National Occupational Research Agenda) to help establish the legislative and research agenda in hearing related issues. "The first meeting of stakeholders gave me tremendous confidence that we were on the right track with SonX." We have since won Gold at the Edison Innovation Awards and ISHN 2017 Readers' Choice Award winner.
OUR TEAM
Great technology and market timing are only part of the formula, people complete the equation. We are privileged to have a seasoned management team that combines grit, passion, caring, smarts and solid execution skills.

I’ve made this my life’s work. My family comes from the hearing industry, so I’ve seen firsthand the devastating effects of noise exposure, hearing loss and stress on the overall wellbeing of a person. My moonshot is to grow the business to protect 10M workers.
Imagine the ripple effect this would have on their lives and on the lives of those around them.
